Hey! nice to meet you

My background

Born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, my parents divorced when I was just 11 months old. Despite the dramas of having a blended family, I grew up feeling very blessed to have two sets of incredibly loving, supportive parents.

At the tender age of 15 my whole world came to a screaming hault. With a sudden onset of a very severe form of Ulcerative Colitis (inflammatory bowel disease) I went from a perfectly healthy teenager to fighting for my life in a matter of weeks. After several life saving and reconstructive surgeries, I missed a large chunk of high school but still managed to graduate on time.

The experience of dozens of surgeries lead me to choose to become a Registered Nurse as a career. While in nursing school, I worked fulltime in a vitamin store that ignited my passion for alternative and holistic health.

Disappointed by the politics and paperwork of the healthcare system, I dropped out just before graduation to find myself in a dead-end job that I hated, commuting 2.5 hours a day for a bipolar boss.

From Network Marketing Struggle Bus…

My ex dragged me down to a meeting one day in early 2006 to learn about leveraged income. I was skepitcal. Arms crossed in the back of the room, I had all of the excuses.

“I don’t have time. I don’t have money. I’m too young. I don’t know anybody!”

But by the presentation was done, God had opened my heart to the idea of becoming an entrepreneur. With little options to work from home and finally get a dog (my real goal!) I signed up that night.

My first 30 days were obismal. I did, on average, 2-6 presentations a day. I started cold-calling (nobody told me that was scary!). And after one whole month I signed up ZERO people.

My upline pulled me aside and said “You’re really bad at this, you may be the worst I’ve ever seen” and shoved some books and tapes in my lap. I began consuming everything I could to figure out how to succeed in Network Marketing.

…To Top Earner + Trainer

After 5 years of failing forward in my “Not For Profit” MLM I found myself looking for a new home. In 2011 I found a great product, a group of mentors and a viral marketing system. Within 16 months of joining I had become the top female money earner in that company by the time I was 27 years old.

The company ended up being a “pop and drop” (and ceases to exist today). Although I learned HOW to do Network Marketing in that company, I also learned how NOT to do it. This was one of the greatest lessons of culture and leadership in my short industry tenure.

In this time I was personally mentored by some of the best: Dani Johnson and John C Maxwell.

In 2015, it was time to find a new home. That’s when I founded a movement called Team Heart and we joined our current opportunity. Using the power of social media, branding, and foundational Network Marketing Skills, Team Heart has now done approximately $200,000,000 in revenue.

I’ve been blessed to speak on the main stages of the space: Go Pro, Most Powerful Women in Networking, Social Media Summit, Frazer Brooke’s Recruiting Challenges, Rob Sperry’s Mastermind 2x, ANMP, and more.

Speaking from Moral Authority…

One thing you can expect from me is authenticity and vulnurability. I’m the first one to raise my hand and tell you how horrible I was as a networker and as a leader for years.

I’m not here to boast, but I do feel that it’s imperative to know the facts. You wouldn’t take a mechanics class from a guy who had never put together an enguine before, right? You wouldn’t hire a basketball coach from a guy who hadn’t ever played ball before, right? And in today’s day and age where things are changing… I couldn’t recommend strongly enough – get coaching from somebody who has done it and ideally still doing it today.

In the last 6 years, I’ve recruited well over 700 people into my opportunity, averaging around 10/month.

I do this almost entirely on social media, part-time, without losing my family, my friends or my soul.

On a personal note…

I am married to the man of my dreams, Tony Pekarek. Tony works as a Director of HR for a Fortune 500 company. We met on eHarmony.com and got married during the lockdowns of 2020. (Ha!) Together we live outside of Minneapolis MN with our two dogs Oakley and Shoogz.

Travel is our love language (boo, pandemic!).

I love Jesus.
